IAC Building

Day 20 (January 20, 2014) – New York, NY

I’ve always been a fan of modern architecture that replaces the typical straight vertical and horizontal patterns with unique curves and uneven form. The Frank Gehry designed IAC building sits along the High Line, a public park built on an historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side.  The building stands out because of its frosted glass exterior and curves that completely rejects the architectural character of the surrounding neighborhood which is dominated by pre-war industrial buildings.
