Day 36 (February 5, 2014) – New York, NY
These days the City is one big slushy mess. The streets and sides walks are littered with puddles of ice and melted snow often discolored by….let’s say..everything from neighborhood dogs doing their business after a walk to the the constant droppings of thousands of commuters passing by all trying to get someone where in a hurry. And let’s not forget what’s left after the hundreds of cabs and buses pass by….It makes the beauty of a fresh snowfall ugly real quick. But…sometimes puddles can be fun to photograph because of how they reflect street life. I found this image on my way to check out my beloved New York Knicks take on the Portland Trailblazers. I was drawn to colors created by the digital billboards across the street and decided to take aim as a commuter was rushing by probably to catch a train on the LIRR.
