Train Spotting II

Day 212 BWebDay 212 (August 1, 2014) New York, NY

Why do we always look to see if the train is coming? It never makes it come faster and I’m sure we are cheating a sure death to some degree.  But without fail, someone will always step closer to the edge and lean over and strain their neck to see a glimpse of a train rumbling towards the station. And apparently it’s also contagious. As soon as one person stops the straining in disgust at the lack of a train, another person steps in to also look down the tracks! News flash!!! More people looking for the train, again, won’t make it come faster. I watched this dance take place for a good 10 minutes before I caught the fever and took my turn in the que to look for the Q train.
