A Flower Grows in Adjuntas

Day 316 WB_1Day 316 (November 13, 2014) – Adjuntas, Puerto Rico

Today I listened to a story about perseverance, faith and determination. A story about a community willing to fight for environmental justice and willing to take on Goliath despite the odds. Ultimately it was a story about a family that would never give up because they knew that they were right and they knew their fight was for generations yet to come. For the children that would live and grow on the land…for the communities that would call Adjuntas and the mountains home.  Today I got to listen to the story of Casa Pueblo and their continued fight for environmental justice in a place that many have forgotten.
