Rockland Breakwater

DAY 155_wB_-3Day 155 (June 4, 2014) – Rockland, Maine

I wake up this morning to an eery calm. I see nothing but whiteness as I peek outside my hotel window – a dense fog rolled in over night. For some reason this is what I imagined Maine weather to always be like. The thick fog is accompanied by a steady drizzle of rain. I bet the fish are biting today. It’s not ideal weather to take photos, but again, it’s what I thought Maine would always look like and the reason they have so many light houses. Now I only hope that my car lights can guide me on a safe journey on these fog soaked streets.

Quite Storm

DAY 154_WB_-6Day 154 (June 3, 2014) – Portland, Maine

The waves broke gently on the rocks. The water reflected the color of the sky, every shade of blue could be found. Seagulls danced in a calm wind letting off high pitched screams to let everyone know that they are there. I’m in Maine. What am I doing in Maine? Back in nature and taking it all in. This country…this world…is truly a beautiful place.  I’m lost in the sounds of the waves. They are hypnotic. This is a perfect day to be alone with my thoughts. Always lots to contemplate before the storm.
